CELESTINE

This was a concept character I did for fun. I thought there needed to be a real badass lead game character that was female. To me Lara Croft doesn’t cut it anymore!

I used a lot of pattern overlays in Photoshop to heighten the look of realism.

As you can see, I didn’t spend too much time on the preliminaries except for basic structural placements. I wanted the focus to be on the eyes so I blurred everything except them. I was close to giving up on this one because I couldn’t get it to really capture the facial expression I wanted. Long story short, don’t add laugh lines to a drawing unless you want a senior citizen look.
