3D Studio Max 2009, Crazy Bump, Photoshop CS4

Perhaps the initial design for combining a gun with a saw was inspired by "Gears of War" but I don't recall Cliffy B patenting it...
This is the first weapon I've ever modelled so it is pretty basic but it has quickly become a fan favorite. One thing I probably should note for next time is the addition of a mud guard...or should I say blood guard!

TURRET

With guns it's all about the bigger the badder so a mounted turret seemed like a good idea. It didn't take too long to do and I was quite pleased with the result. I wanted to see if would blend into a current generation title so I stuck a render overtop a Halo 3T screenshot.
I don't find it to be overly obtrusive, yet overly deadly!
